RFQ/P for EPA Brownfields Grant
SCS Engineers Selected as Brownfields Consultant
After an extremely competitive and intensive two-month Request for Qualifications/Proposals (RFQ/P) process, SCS Engineers emerged as the top candidate, from a pool of 11 highly qualified firms, to serve as the Redevelopment Agency's brownfields consultant for implementation of the first stage of the EPA grant. SCS Engineers has provided similar consulting services for EPA grants in National City, Poway, El Cajon, and Lemon Grove. Other notable brownfields projects that SCS Engineers has played a critical role in include Petco Park, Education Village and Harbor District assessments in National City, and downtown San Diego redevelopment projects The Legend and Hard Rock Hotel. SCS Engineers' subcontractor, Katz & Associates, will also assist in developing strategies and tools for property/business owner outreach and community involvement.
