The City of Chula Vista’s Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) has released its final recommendations on Climate Adaptation Strategies. These strategies would help Chula Vista reduce its vulnerability to expected local climate change impacts (known as “climate adaptation”). The CCWG – comprised of residents, businesses, and community representatives – has been meeting over the past 9 months to review potential climate change impacts, identify opportunities to reduce these risks, and solicit feedback from the public.
The CCWG will be presenting their recommendations to the City Council at a special workshop on October 7th at 4pm. At the workshop, staff will also present the City’s latest greenhouse gas emissions inventory and an implementation update on its climate mitigation measures. The public is encouraged to attend the workshop to provide feedback to the City Council. |
