Yard waste will be collected on the same day as your recyclables and trash.

You may use your own standard trash containers (no larger than 40 gallons, maximum weight of 60 pounds) or rent a green 64 or 96-gallon cart from Allied Waste Services for a nominal rate.  If interested in cart rental, please call (619) 421-9400.

Place your standard trash can, compostable paper bag made for yard waste or rented cart at least 1 1/2 feet away from your recycling and trash containers or any other obstructions.

Bundles of yard waste can also be collected.  They should be no more than 4 feet in length, 18 inches in diameter and weigh no more than 35 pounds. Please tie bundles with string or twine only.

Pallets and unpainted/untreated wood can be reused or recycled as yard waste for less money than the cost of trash.  If you are interested in this money saving opportunity, call Allied Waste Services at (619) 421-9400.
