Chula Vista Literacy Team
Welcome to the Chula Vista Literacy Team.
Volunteer tutors help English-speaking adults improve their reading, writing and problem solving, so they can do better on the job, at home, and in the community.
The library assesses each learner privately, trains tutors to help, and then matches learners and tutor.
Learning sessions are one-on-one or in small groups at the library or other convenient neighborhood locations.
All services are confidential and free.
Interested in becoming either a learner or a volunteer tutor?
Volunteers must commit to a minimum of one hour per week for six months.
Volunteer tutors must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check which will be provided by the city.
Attend FREE tutor training sessions at the South Chula Vista Branch and get matched with adult learners who need your help.
