Community members in Chula Vista will have two opportunities to exchange up to three strands of incandescent holiday lights for an equivalent number of energy-efficient, multi-colored LED holiday lights. LED lights use up to 90% less energy, are cooler to the touch, and last up to 100 times longer than incandescent lights. The 15-foot light strands contain 50 bulbs and can be used indoors or outdoors. To participate in the exchange, community members must bring their old lights and present a copy of their current SDG&E bill or their California ID. The two local lighting exchange events are:

Otay Ranch Town Center (north lot near food pavillion) | 2015 Birch Road
*Saturday, December 4
1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Memorial Park (before the Starlight Parade) | Third Avenue & Park Way
