Welcome to the Chula Vista Police Department website. Chula Vista is the second largest city in San Diego County, and one of the safest cities in the region. In large part, you, the community, are our eyes and ears. Without you we couldn’t do our jobs as effectively. For that reason we have several internet tools available on our website to help you stay informed.

The first is CrimeMapping.com, allowing you to see timely crime data for your city. The goal is to reducing crime through better-informed residents, visitors and businesses.

The next is a link to San Diego CrimeStoppers. If you have information about a crime, contact CrimeStoppers by clicking on the icon in the lower left column. You may be eligible for a cash reward.

Also, please take a moment to click on the CVPD “current news” link in the upper left column to get the latest news updates, or you can subscribe free to Nixle and have information sent directly to your mobile phone or home email account.

Lastly, please friend us on Facebook by going to our Facebook page, or follow our Twitter feed!

Also, don't forget about the Police Department's new Community Storefront at Otay Ranch Town Center. It is located near the center of the mall, just off Main Street and immediately across from Macy's. The storefront will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. >Click to find out more about the Police Department's Otay Ranch Community Storefront.

Every third Thursday of the month beginning on October 20th I will be at the Otay Ranch Community Storefront to meet with the public from 2:30 until 5:00 p.m..

Thank you for your interest in the Chula Vista Police Department. Together we can keep Chula Vista one of the safest cities in the county.

Chief David Bejarano
