Redevelopment Agency (RDA)
About the RDA
The Chula Vista Redevelopment Agency (RDA) was created by the City Council in 1972 to reduce blight and encourage new development, reconstruction, and rehabilitation of residential, commercial, industrial, and retail uses. A key to the RDA's success is its ability to time projects to correspond to market opportunities, respond to the needs of investors, and maintain financial capacity to leverage private investment.
City of Chula Vista as the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency
Effective February 1, 2012, all redevelopment agencies in the State of California were dissolved pursuant to AB 1X 26. Although the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Chula Vista (Agency) has been dissolved, this website contains historical information about the Agency and will be used by the City of Chula Vista as the Successor Agency to provide information related to the dissolution and winding down of the Agency. This website will be updated soon to provide additional information. To view the agenda for the Successor Agency meeting of Monday, April 30, 2012 at 9:00 a.m., please click here.
