What is a "Project Area?"

A project area is the actual geographic area where a redevelopment agency's revitalization activities will take place.

  

Project Area Redevelopment Plans

The City of Chula Vista has two primary project areas, the Merged Bayfront/ Town Centre I Project Area and the merged Chula Vista Project Area. Each area consists of smaller subareas.  PDFs of the Redevelopment Plan for each project area (or subarea) are available below:

Project Area Time Limits

The table below lists the adoption date and time limit of each project area.  When a project area reaches its time limit, the Redevelopment Agency's powers and authorities within that project area expire.
