About the CVRC

The Chula Vista Redevelopment Corporation (CVRC) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization formed by the City of Chula Vista to support the planning and redevelopment activities of the City Council and Redevelopment Agency.  The CVRC is an agent of change for Chula Vista, implementing the vision and goals of the Redevelopment Agency and City.  The CVRC helps to orchestrate the revitalization of declining neighborhoods to attract new businesses to the area, and provide residents with open space, walkable neighborhoods, and affordable housing.

On January 26, 2012, the CVRC voted to dissolve the Corporation. City staff, as the successor agency to the Redevelopment Agency, is in the process of completing all necessary documentation to implement this action.

  

  

CVRC Board of Directors

The CVRC Board of Directors is made up of seven renowned local and regional experts from various professional and educational backgrounds, selected by the City Council to help oversee the redevelopment process.  The seven Directors are among the County’s most talented and creative professionals with expertise in a variety of fields -- from architecture, real estate and environmental planning to business, engineering and education.  The experience they bring to the table and the advice they give to the City Council will shape Chula Vista’s future.
