also receive discounts and priority enrollment for the Nature Center's

publication, Nature News, which includes our Calendar of Events.

The Nature Center offers environmental education programs that annually
give thousands of school children a sense of responsibility for
our natural resources. We provide daily science field trips for
school groups and offer a wide array of free and low-cost events
for the general public.

Your support as a member of the Chula Vista Nature Center assists
us in leading the way in wetland protection. Wetlands are the most
critically endangered habitat in California and are important because
their high productivity forms the basis of the marine food chain.
Wetlands are nursery and breeding areas for many marine animals,
they remove pollutants from urban runoff, and are the home of rare
and various endangered species.
